Susan is a highly experienced and compassionate Certified Nurse Midwife with over 24 years of experience providing comprehensive maternal and gynecological care. She specializes in high-risk pregnancies, postpartum care, perinatal mental health disorders, and menopause management. Known for her patient-centered and evidence-based approach, Susan is passionate about empowering women and families throughout every stage of life.
Her clinical expertise spans prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care, as well as well-woman exams and complex gynecology. Throughout her career, she has provided care in a variety of diverse settings and has managed a high volume of labor and deliveries. Susan also dedicated five years to mentoring and educating obstetrical medical students and residents at the University of Virginia, sharing her knowledge and advancing the future of women’s healthcare.
Susan holds a Master of Science in Nursing from Philadelphia University and earned her CNM certification in 2001. She is also a Certified Menopause Practitioner through the North American Menopause Society and a Certified Perinatal Mental Health Professional (PMH-C). She is a proud member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine.
