About Richard Ohanesian, MD, FACOG

Richard Ohanesian, MD, FACOG, is a diligent and kindhearted board-certified OB/GYN serving women at Prescott Women’s Clinic in Prescott, Arizona. 

Dr. Ohanesian is originally from Connecticut. He moved to Washington, DC to attend the George Washington University Medical School before completing his medical OB/GYN residency at Penn State University in State College, Pennsylvania. 

Impressed by the precision, dedication, and efficiency of the medical group at Prescott Women’s Clinic in Prescott, Arizona, Dr. Ohanesian relocated to join the team. He provides a range of obstetric and gynecologic services, such as medications, lifestyle changes, and minimally invasive surgical procedures when necessary.

With his gentle nature and extensive experience and knowledge, Dr. Ohanesian treats numerous conditions, including polycystic ovary syndrome, endometriosis, pelvic pain, and irregular menstruation. He also offers exceptional obstetrical care and guides and supports women through all stages of pregnancy. 

He has an interest and additional training in wilderness medicine and trauma, with certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Advanced Trauma Life Support, and Advanced Wilderness Life Support.  Dr. Ohanesian participates with Flying Samaritans at their rural clinic in Mexico.  He is also a member of Global Surgical and Medical Support Group, providing teaching to local doctors and medical relief services in Kurdistan.  

Dr. Ohanesian encourages a healthy lifestyle to improve wellness. He stays active and cherishes spending time with his family. Outside of the office, he enjoys hiking, scuba diving, skiing, and traveling with his wife, Sally, and three children.
